#Gorey #Wexford has some way to go to be #AgeFriendly. In #StormAgnes people waiting for a bus have to take shelter under a tree from the driving rain and wind. I understand that Main St traders objected to a #bus #shelter for the only bus stop in Gorey.
#Arklow has four bus stops, three with shelters.
#publictransport will have to be less of an endurance test, particularly for older people.

@SimonB I wrote to the #NTA last May and got a reply
"The provision of shelters on the Main Street in Gorey are not scheduled on our current programme of works for County Wexford. [...]it is not clear if either stop is suitable for the provision of a bus shelter having regard to the relevant factors outlined above, in particular the impact on affected parties / adjacent premises. Due to the limited footpath width, the presence of the street furniture and adjacent business premises’ frontages.."
