Dan AndersonMy whiteboards are all messed up, erase very poorly, only hard pressure with a microfiber cloth erase them completely. Anyone have any idea how to restore them?

Thomas Bosboom ✅@dandersod It sounds like an abbrasive may have been used that has messed up your whiteboard finish. I like the approach this guy took to finding a solution: https://www.makerjosh.com/best-way-clean-whiteboards-9-tests/ (Spoiler: the answer is WD-40, off course. It is apparently able to restore the non-stick finish to a degree).
@dandersod The next step up - if your whiteboard is truly destroyed- is to refinish with fresh paint and whiteboard coating….

Michel@dandersod a collegue of mine said today that some whiteboard cleaning sprays are foamy an leave a waxy residue that actually restores the quality of the board. I know no brands and have no first hand experience. Do with this knowledge what you will 🥸👍
