Neil Beadle@PhilipKing @davespice yeah, factory fitted ceramic RAM is rarely seen in Spectrums and I don’t have any spares in my stock, only plastic packages, so I hope these are OK. I did see some for sale recently though.

@davespice @PhilipKing the serial number suggests it should have an issue 3 or 4 PCB, but as you can see, it’s an issue 2. The service centres were known to replace customer returns with a board they had fixed from another return to make the turnaround quicker. Going off the sticker and the serial number discrepancy, I think it has been sent for repair at some point. 3 of the lower RAM chips have been socketed, suggesting that they have been replaced.
