A long awaited day has finally arrived, Minecraft Wiki has moved from Fandom to https://minecraft.wiki.

We were able to bring a lot of improvements with this move including less ads, a new skin, faster load time and more.

However this will not be possible for various reasons. Wiki will be hosted by Weird Gloop and ultimately financed by ads. But the fact you'd like to support our operation this way is really sweet, thank you!

It's something we might want to add at some point in the future - but for now we're focusing on ads.

Ads are the more or less safe and reliable option - we'll establish that one first before exploring new/additional ones.

@chylex In addition to what violine have said, making an account and using it to visit the wiki completely removes all of the ads. Adding premium account in this scenario does not make much sense.

@MinecraftWikiEN Almost every reference to Minecraft Wiki on Wikipedia has now been updated to the new domain. (The only remaining one is a reference to Fandom removing the legacy Gamepedia skin).

@SwooshyCueb We used to be part of Gamepedia, which was owned by Curse, until Fandom bought Gamepedia in 2018 and ultimately unified it with the Fandom wiki platform.

@MinecraftWikiEN Oh hell yeah! I’m so glad. Fandom was an absolute trash fire, so I tended to just not look at the wiki. Thank you! I know it’s a massive undertaking to move a wiki.
