Until yesterday I had a mini-amp to step up headphone line-out ampage to feed small unpowered speakers, and multiplex 2desktops to one set of speakers.

When I walked out yesterday, it "blew up". I opened it today, there are no blown capacitors, but it is dead circuit (mains power gets no LEDs lit).

This has never happened to me previously, do I need to double up on mains stabilisation?
20w amps cost less than the desktops, alot less.
