Sometimes I'm a late adopter in fancy tech things that I don't need (for work) immediately.

Today I tried ChatGPT for the first time and out of curiosity I went from explaining Intentional Change Theory on to making plant-based icecream and lastly to swearing about spilled coffee in Swiss German.
Well, it refused to swear, unfortunately, but was willing to provide me with words to complain about the situation 😁.

The more serious things like ICT and vegan food impressed me, though.

It is definitely a tool I'll be experiementing more with, even for "serious" stuff. I think there's something in it for me when it comes to improving my written English. 😊

Big thanks to @rdmueller and @joergm for our conversations at the #softwarearchitecturesummit that also included using ChatGPT and useful applications. 🙇‍♀️ 🙂

@rdmueller @gazebo_c Agreed. Even if you remove all the hype around those tools they are are useful in many situations.
@gazebo_c @rdmueller @joergm One issue I have personally with those stochastic parrots - their sources seem to be unredacted. Or poorly redacted. And they repeat "knowledge" (aka nonsense) from community forums as well. So it is a more convenient interface to a search engine, mainly because there are no ads yet. That will change in the near future, and they will obfuscate paid desinformation (aka advertising) even better than in the search engine results now.
@Reinald @gazebo_c @joergm
isn't it the same with humans?

@rdmueller @gazebo_c @joergm well - I am not paid for desinformation. As the advertising based search engine businesses are in the meantime.

I would expect an "AI" to be able to tell right from wrong - otherwise I wouldn't call it "AI". And that's why I think "stochastic parrot" for a remixing machine repeating human made nonsense might be a better matching term. It is an entertainment machine, not a knowledge machine.

@Reinald @gazebo_c @joergm
you haven't tried the paid account yet, have you?
@rdmueller @gazebo_c @joergm I stopped spending time exploring that. My personal experiments challenging LLMs were disillusioning.
