#DailyPrompt πŸŽ΅πŸ”‡ What would your life be like without #music?

For me, this would be like losing a part of my soul. All day from waking to sleeping I usually have music on as my constant companion. I listen to a wide variety of #alternative music, various shades of #metal #progmetal and #punk.

Where some only hear "noise" and "anger", I hear complexity and passion. Messages both sad and beautiful, if you only take the time to listen πŸ–€

@ObsidianUrbex It would be a mistake (Nietszche said that).

I have tinitus, but I rarely notice it, because my 'silence' is always filled with music. (I said that).

@_chris_real sorry to hear of your tinnitus, but it's wonderful that music helps you. Music is such a powerful thing πŸ™πŸ’™

@ObsidianUrbex I used music to manage my insomnia for so long that I never even noticed the tinitus until my laptop crashed and I had to sleep without it.

Yes, music is a powerful thing. An intellectual once challenged me to say something that wasn't 'political'. I began whistling, and walked out smiling.

@ObsidianUrbex I feel like it’s almost like a smoking habit or something for me. All day.
@kmck
Same, totally addicted to tuuunes 🎡
@ObsidianUrbex totally the same. i used to be able to play several instruments and was in a few jazz bands, but those days are gone. if i didn't have music to listen to, i'd probably hurt somebody

@tamouse
Oh wow, you are so talented to be able to play multiple instruments (I'm crap, I can't play anything haha)

And the last part, I second that πŸ˜…

@ObsidianUrbex read this while watching some favorite local musicians warm up for tonight’s set …
@scouten
Perfect! Hope you have a great night 😍
@ObsidianUrbex Same, I have it on almost constantly. I do to help quiet my ADHD brain. Prog Metal? Fan of Dream Theater and/or Porcupine Tree perchance?
@ianjpalmer most certainly! Opeth are one of my favourites also :)
