@Rusty @silvereagle I'm more willing to forgive the bugs for it being a FOSS project.
Plex runs on a "freemium" model which makes its bugginess a lot less forgivable, let alone some of the features for premium licenses that have apparently been REMOVED over time.
@dragonarchitect I still have a lifetime Plex Pass even though I haven't touched Plex in years, yet I still get unreasonably annoyed when they remove features or paywall new ones.
It's also hilariously bad that the only person who can refresh the Plex libraries is the administrator, only one person can be the administrator, and, unlike Jellyfin, it doesn't automatically detect filesystem changes. Like c: How is this paid software?
@Rusty They're just sitting on their laurels, raking in the revenue.
Every feature that gets removed is a feature that no longer requires development hours.
Every new feature that gets paywalled is a feature that can bring in more revenue.
