Can we please retire the word "pushback"? It has replaced so many other perfectly good words:

- response
- resistance
- defense
- counterattack
- rebuttal
- reprisal
- comeback
- clapback
- counterargument
- rejoinder
- refutation

And those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

@stylinstainless I'm heading into a work week with many potential opportunities to use the term "pushback". I'll try to substitute one of the alternatives you suggest. "I'm going to counterattack that assertion. Our BOE's lacked engineering rigor."
