@TerryHunter I’m in utah and Romney is the only republican at the federal level that has somewhat lukewarm support by democrats and tepid support by republicans. You may not be happy with him, but he has some integrity that democrats in utah are concerned won’t be available anymore.
@Djromero
I hear you. It's a low bar, but yes, Mitt Romney is admittedly less crazy than some other faces of the GOP, and I certainly give him credit for his votes against Trump and for Impeachment. That said, I must also point out that Mitt Romney is all in on the Republican MAGA agenda, despite his personal issues with Trump, and his voting record shows it. It was only after Donald refused Mitt a role in the Trump administration after making Mitt grovel and kiss the ring at Trump's dinner invite that Romney turned against Trump. If Mitt Romney had been hired, he would be singing an entirely different tune about Donald Trump... That I can tell you!
Further, for years Mitt Romney fomented the hate and bad policy that is the republican party. It's only now that he has a problem with Republicans and that's only because now they have turned their ire on him. I have no sympathy for or praise for Mr. "Corporations are People"... Mitt Romney fostered his own demise... I say Good Riddance!
@TerryHunter would he though? A lot of republicans joined the administration and they almost all left hating trump and what he did. You assume Romney would the be the mark meadows of the group. That seems unlikely, especially from what I know of him. I live in utah, I primarily read the #sltrib , and I can tell you he’s not like the other senate republicans.
