Gunfire stopped when the rain started; Noodles howled to go out (he doesn't like using the litter box because Doing the Necessary in the House is Dirty). I opened the catflap. Rain stopped. 10 minutes later the hunters were at it again, and Noodles is still out.

I've been trying to keep mine in at night for months but Benji hates it. He actually got up and sprayed my face when I wouldn't let him out, twice.
I'd bought a cat tunnel (couldn't afford to get a full catio fixed to the wall) but never got the ground cleared in time for Bilbo. It should be going up this week.
I'll put a litter tray at the far end and see if he accepts it.
