I've become a big fan of #RootsMagic.πŸͺ„ πŸ•΅πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ At first we weren't friends and I only bought it for a class.

Has anyone out there in the #genealogy world upgraded to version 9 or used the manuals?

I ordered the manual today, then I will upgrade.🧐

@edgaramaya I could not get on with Roots Magic 9. The user interface is quirky to say the least. Using the events and citations lead to data loss in some instances. Also the note areas accept text copied from websites but has problems storing the information and returning garbage. When reported all I got was β€œDon’t do that β€œ as a fix.
@tonysargeant Interesting. πŸ€”
Have you used version 8 before? I had trouble with citations. I learned I had to paste as plain text to keep it from formatting wrong.
@edgaramaya No, I came in at version 9. I was not bought up in the Roots Magic mind set, which meant I was expecting better. Having tried quite a few programs over the years I have settled on Reunion 13 (Mac only). The Apple mindset of anything can be clicked on and edited or goes to another view leads to an intuitive and flexible way of working.
