The maiden voyage is complete. I went from the dealership to Chili Shack (on 104th) for lunch.

She's not happy with the dealer settings. 🤣 I will cure that soon.

Throw out some creative names, if you like! She is, as of yet, needing a name.

@DarkenedChasm I think you should call her jazz
@Pawpower That's a good one! And it's fun to say!

@Pawpower

I like it. For now....Jazz (Short for Jazmine) is the front runner. I think it'll probably stick, even though it's the first one. We'll see. So, for context, Lil Red (Short for Little Red (Riding Hood) is the CBR600F3. And the ZX6R was named Lil Blue (Yes...completely uncreative and I'm ashamed some), short for Lilly Blue. I did call her Lilly sometimes. So, obvi, I need some help! Today is the first day since Lilly was stolen that I feel square with the world.

@DarkenedChasm One of the only things I regret about being blind as that it makes me unable to drive a motorcycle which I totally would do if I could see.

@Pawpower

I guess, for now...I'm going to say I'm pretty glad you're not out there rippin' and revvin'! Maybe, sooner than you think "they" will design an adequate subtitution like Jordy from TNG.

@DarkenedChasm I have Phoenix, she's the very best! Not a motorcycle but the best.
@Pawpower Is that the Golden?
@DarkenedChasm Both of my pups are goldens. Callisto is in training and is only 8 months, she is Phoenix's Niece. Phoenix is 4, she is darker in color

@Pawpower

Such wonderful dogs! The owners (and who are my bosses and long time friends) have a pair.

I would get a Golden if I felt I had a responsible amount of space. (Or...the amount acceptable to me for that pup).

@DarkenedChasm They are the very best. It's so funny because my house is about 1000 sq. Ft. And at any time both my dogs are laying right on my feet. Lol. We are always smushed together.

@Pawpower

Makes me giggle. Everything sounds exactly as it should be!

@DarkenedChasm sweet ride. i used to ride a katana 600 back in the day. 1000s are beasts 🏍️

@yurnidiot

She's totally something new and different for me. My first bike was an '86 GSXR 750 (no, not new).

So....I swear to God that she plain doesn't like the traction control! And it certainly doesn't fit me as a rider. Maybe I should learn it, but honestly, I shut it off. I think it's more dangerous to take the control out of the throttle - which has been ingrained in me over decades. Especially on corners. (Yes, I do realize there's lots of people smarter than me! Lol)
1/

@DarkenedChasm i rode in the pre- traction control / abs days, so don't know what it feels like. you're prob better off w/o it if that's what you're used to, esp if you're an advanced rider.

@yurnidiot

Yeah...I qualify like that. 🙂

Right...well, being somewhat familiar with the feel of Suzukis...I think I can describe it as a throttle hesitation. VERY noticeable dipping into even a slow corner. Like you've got some power, but when you roll it, just nothing behind it. Yuck.

@yurnidiot

Those Katanas were absolutely great bikes. And they continued long after they dropped the name in one form or another. Brought the name back recently, although, I don't recall much about it. The GS lines have always been quality!

@DarkenedChasm at the time as a weekend rider, for me the katana was fine for that. but the gixxrs are like F1 cars, you've got a real rocket there. be safe and have fun!
@DarkenedChasm
That exhaust is making a statement. 😛

@arnowi lol. Yes... Gonna go with Two Brothers or Yoshi. But, first....That license plate holder is GONE! 🤣

It IS a pretty severe statement, huh? 🙄
