@nspugh @CoedCadw our temperate rainforests are at risk too on Vancouver Island. Thank you for the follow Nigel. How did you find me? I do conservation work in my community - my happy place is activities with school kids.

There is so much at risk, its hard sometimes to know where to focus campaigning capacity. Temperate rainforest, especially when healthy, little is. is amazing still. My happy place is swimming in a mid Wales biodiversity rich river.

@nspugh @CoedCadw we're a small organization supported in large part by government grants. Most of our forests in this area are 2nd growth. There are a few protected pockets.I find hope in successful reclamation projects. Like Baikie Island in the Campbell River Estuary - a former log dump now teaming with life.
