For this week's #SeiyuuSaturday, we're doing our first male voice actor with #koukiuchiyama (b. 1990), who began voice acting in 2003.

First up is 2011's #guiltycrown (ew) where Uchiyama voiced Daryl Yan, convincingly playing the psychopathic manchild who still, somehow, had a heart in him.
Going to 2013, Uchiyama was in the postapocalyptic supernatural series #SundayWithoutGod, wherein he voiced Alis, a late joiner to the main crew's travels with secrets of his own. Uchiyama's take on Alis was cool and collected, trying his best to maintain his persona even as he tried to get others to help him with the issues that plaged him and those around him.
In 2014, Uchiyama got some sun-soaked relaxation in the slice of life series #barakamon. Here, Uchiyama voiced Hiroshi, the teenage son of the village chief who finds himself in the circle of exiled calligrapher Handa. Uchiyama's relaxed vocal performance hides a young man struggling to find himself and who becomes inspired to take more charge of his own life.
In 2018, Uchiyama helped to make us all cry as Benedict in #violetevergarden. One of the employees at the company Violet works at, Benedict is often a straight man who still provides good advice and support to Violet. Uchiyama's performance is more comedic than usual, bringing through Benedict's brash nature and his more gentle, brotherly side.

Seeing more of what we expect from Uchiyama, 2019 had him go into SPACE as Ulgar in #KanataNoAstra. The snarky, avoidant member of the crew, Ulgar quickly revealed himself to be both useful physically emotionally and also carrying secrets that could shake up the dynamics of the team. Uchiyama's performance is often no-nonsense and dripping with a lone wolf mentality, although he gets some nice moments of flustered comedy along the way.

In 2021, Uchiyama fell in love (and other ways) as he voiced Miyamura in the romcom #Horimiya. At first an introverted bookish type, Miyamura quickly revealed himself as a tatted-up bundle of nerves who was still a good friend and family member. Uchiyama's performance shows the best of histrionics in Miyamura's more anxious moments and his deep well of trust and care when he's at ease.

Finally for this week, we end in the winter of 2023 where Uchiyama voiced the office worker Saejima in #iceguyandhiscoolfemalecolleague. Surrounded by supernatural coworkers, Saejima often acted as the cool-headed straight man, even when he could be flustered by the foxy Komori.
