The office is closed today, due to a company policy turning all long weekends into 4 day weekends.
So I'm packing up to go on a bit of a hike instead of my morning run. Heading for one of the ravines running through Toronto, to practice some writing and rough sketching on my eink tablet.
Sitting on a creek bank, writing and minding my own business. Suddenly I hear a loud cracking, popping, and snapping. Look up and over in time to see a hunk of wood and several walnuts come crashing down, smashing as they hit the rocks less than 2 metres from me.

Was that a warning, or just really bad aim?
4 hours later. My fitbit says I've walked 3.12 km.
Not my best pace. But I have stopped four times, and handwritten about 5 pages worth of descriptions. I'm giving it a bit of a fiction spin as I do so.
Now to get home, eat lunch, and then test out this device's handwriting detection.
