If you’ve known me for more than a minute, you probably know I hate broccoli, the Nats, and the PT Cruiser.

I just saw a “woodie” version of the latter and my goodness is there a more terrible car in existence?

@samerfarha I am torn between not liking the look of the PTC and gratitude for any vehicle that doesn’t look like every other damned vehicle. And now I’m glad it’s not a truck/suv.
@samerfarha LOL! Or the Pontiac Aztec, that one's pretty ugly as well
@rvaweather the Aztec is ugly. But the Cruiser *could* have been good. But they cheaped out in the end.
@samerfarha It’s so bad, and the people who have them just love them for reasons I can’t fathom.
@typingmonkey @samerfarha I rented one once. Not on purpose. It drove okay, actually.
@spamless @typingmonkey yeah, I can’t speak to the drivability of it, but from a design perspective, it is a rolling compromise. Everything from the shitty key hole on the nice back panel to the molded chevrons in the front not being part of the bumper. Ugh.
@samerfarha @spamless @typingmonkey When they came out I remember someone saying "You know how a new beetle is a 'chick magnet'? Well these cars are 'Chuck magnets'." As in "old guys named Chuck"
@elithebearded @spamless @typingmonkey ha! That’s great. I always compared the two, because VW got it very right and Chrysler got it very wrong (again, just on the design here). Seeing them parked next to each other in a parking lot one day is what sent me into a tailspin about the PT.
@samerfarha @elithebearded @spamless Speaking of getting it wrong, when I worked at GM, people they used to call it the Pontiac Ass-tek.
@samerfarha One more reason to hate the PT Loser. My husband has a friend who has one and he drives like an absolute maniac. Like 60 mph in the breakdown lane type maniac when he hits traffic because rules don’t apply to him.
