In The Mysterians, I wonder about the translation.
In the English translation, the astronomer says that there are a series of "small stars" between Mars and Jupiter, including Mysteroid.
There are no stars between Mars and Jupiter, but there is the asteroid belt.
"Aster" means star, and "-oid" means "similar to". So asteroid kinda-sorta means "small star"
