caroline | avawtsn | 接音 (too!)I should probably finish reading Red, White, and Royal Blue, before I completely zip up my opinion on the movie; I never did finish the audiobook and can't remember why. But on the other hand, I think my most negative thoughts about the movie (which are mild?) have nothing to do with the novel or plot. It's...the super stilted, awkward dialog? It's not constant, but it's painful when it comes up. I don't remember that vibe in the book.

@StAugstnesGrove totally agree it’s harmless! I just would’ve changed up like six of the lines so that they didn’t cause suuuch cringe. I frankly was floating through on the strength of the blond lead’s facial expressions (he does agony SO well) and I’m totally fine with that. I’ve done that with straight romcoms for sure.
