Have you ever seen an advertisement for Lotus Biscoff cookies? I have only encountered them on airlines, but it seems they've been in the gourmet cookie section all along (since like 1932). Who knew? And those cookies are unique and freakin' delicious. Especially when dunked in coffee.
@shoq I have never seen a commercial for them but they have been a staple cookie in our home going back decades.
@paul that I have been denied them all these years I can only blame on bad parenting. I’ve forgiven them. Well, most of them.
@shoq @paul There’s a cafe near my home whose menu revolves around this biscuit.
@shoq oh they’re goood!
Got some in a Christmas basket.
Seeing this now reminds me I have 4 boxes stashed!
Scored them on sale 😋😋😋
Wait until you try their Biscoff icecream!😋
@shoq Dunking biscuits in coffee is an abomination. Why do people do this? Coffee reduces crunchy stuff to bland or bitter pap that is good for nothing!11!
@gnaddrig @shoq Who hurt you..
@mike @shoq Nobody, I just prefer crunchy biscuits like Lotus Biscoff to be, you know, crunchy.

@shoq

They hadn't really been on my radar until recently, when I heard a mention of them on the Dave Chang podcast (apparently they appear with some frequency as part of airplane meals, and the question was whether anyone in the discussion had ever encountered them at ground level!)

Now I at least have a mental note registered to buy a few and try them.

This may be the episode in question:

@shoq Vitacost (a Kroger company since 2014) carries them - $4.39. No idea if that’s a good price or not, but seems decent. Free shipping over $50 - not too hard to hit if you order some vitamins, other household staples, or snacks. And if you don’t have a coupon, register for a free account (20% off first order) or if you’ve shopped there before, load up your cart and go away for a day. They’ll email you a 10% off coupon to finish your order. https://www.vitacost.com/lotus-biscoff-cookies
@shoq I want to say I've seen these things at Costco--can anyone confirm?
@rpardee @shoq
Never seen them in an advertisement, but they've been available in boutique Euro markets in most of the cities I've lived in for as long as I can recall.
@shoq Brought a few packages home from the plane and the wife who doesn't like cookies, enjoyed them with her tea.
@shoq Gee, thanks. I really need the extra calories. Not. But I just added some to my Publix order for tomorrow. ;-/
