One of my favourite breakfasts this summer has been caramelized cream eggs with chives and Calabrian chili crunch.

It’s an incredibly •easy• breakfast — you can season the cream with anything you like. Takes two minutes longer than fried eggs and makes you feel sooo fancy.

I highly recommend the stovetop cream egg process. #eggs #cooking #food #recipes

Caramelized Cream Eggs From Ideas in Food Recipe on Food52

This recipe from Ideas in Food teaches us a brand new way to fry eggs: Instead of using butter or oil, they cook them in nothing but a little heavy cream.

@snarkysteff You really should be a Menu developer for restaurants or write a cook book. Always sounds so good
@SCampbell I would have fun setting a brunch menu for an eatery but I don’t have a culinary background in restaurants so I doubt I’d be taken too seriously. But thank you. :)
@snarkysteff I'm going to have to try this!
@kelce this is what I’m saying! :)
@snarkysteff heavy cream seems to be one of those ingredients I never seem to have in the fridge when I want it for something. Thankfully a very soft cheese seems to produce a similar result of creamy crisped bottomed eggs. Love it!

@jeromechoo I have gained 5 pounds from heavy cream this month because my feelings taste like waffles, berries and cream, lately. I blame summer.

So, wise choice. Usually I just buy a small container so I can have it a couple times here and there.

@snarkysteff Waffles, berries, and cream is the kind of $40 continental breakfast at a White Lotus resort vibe I'm always down for!
@jeromechoo I know. It’s so delicious. Berry season will be over soon and i won’t be able to do this anymore — or not with the kinds of berries that make the calories worth it!
