@gdinwiddie Wikipedia agrees with your experience: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There_are_unknown_unknowns. The post is more about the consequences of being wrong about a category, but Rumsfeld clearly wasn't the first to think about caveats about our knowledge in this way.
