@uspolitics I believe people err in their thinking that "democracy" is sacrosanct. It's a word that lacks a clear, shared meaning. Quick test: Whether you are liberal or conservative, how committed are YOU to the majority getting its way on the five hottest button issues -- regardless of whether your opinion matches the majority? Do you really think you should only get your way if you get 51%? If not, maybe you don't support democracy as completely as you think.
