Did a short but eerie solo walk through a wooded trail last night around midnight (there have been coyote sightings recently, and it's bear country). But have been wanting to capture this scene for a couple years now. No guts, no glory (such as it is) - lol.

Had a play with #StarStaX to create a star trail from about 100 of the timelapse frames. Used 'comet mode' for blending. Final tweaks in #DarkTable.

I took many images from the same spot, which I'm hoping to turn into a timelapse when I get back home.
@nlskies I recall that feeling the last time I was alone at night in a the Mauricie National Park walking the trail between my car and the spot I had put a camera shooting the MW.
Even when not in bear country or at any risk whatsoever, being alone at night in a remote location always brings me some level of irrational fear. Probably the reptilian part of my brain trying to protect me.
