@georgetakei It's a thing in the UK ...the bride buys bags of flip flops for the female evening guests...many of which are taken up after an hour or so of dancing..seen it myself a few weeks ago.

@georgetakei in Australia we call them 'thongs' (the footwear) ... and yes, sometimes I wear my wife's thongs!
