So I’ve decided to go back to school, which is something I’ve not done in quite a while.

I’m going to be attempting to undertake a Masters's degree when I have no prior higher education.

I’m going to be taking on an EMBA, my hope in undertaking this is it will allow me to look at businesses with a greater understanding of how it works in a corporate environment and apply InfoSec methodologies in such a way that it becomes a culture across a company not just in the technology teams.

As we in the #InfoSec community understand it’s normally those in non-technical roles that are normally targeted.

Another reason for doing this is personal development as I do not come from a corporate background. I was a tree surgeon prior to my technical career and as such do not hold as much knowledge as I’d like about how a corporate environment is handled at executive level.

I’m also looking forward to putting myself outside of my comfort zone and learning new skills I can apply to all aspects of my life.
