What will it take for Trump's remaining supporters to see that his actions are straight from the authoritarian playbook, and that he is a direct threat to the country? So far, nothing. Trump has supporters because they WANT an authoritarian government.

The rest of us need to understand this and do what is necessary to prevent it.

I personally don't think Trump can win but we can't risk it. We thought he couldn't win in 2016. Let us not make the same mistake again.

The indictment Trump feared most

RICO is unpardonable by any president, since it's a state charge.

Axios
@Heimdall Trump's supporters want to wreck the existing system, because they are firmly convinced that they will be on top in the new one-party system that replaces it.

@Heimdall The definition of Donald J. Trump is basically:

A lawless sociopath, who is cunning enough to attract other lawless sociopaths he can exploit for his very own personal gain - no matter the religion, the color of skin, party affiliation, nationality or other features.

It's not a cult — it's a community sharing the common disorder of sociopathy.

@Heimdall And here we are again.

Yet another opportunity for Republicans to take the off ramp, ditch Trump, side with law and order, and bring Americans together to heal.

But unfortunately we already know how this goes.

This is simply another moment in which they will instead dig in their heels, become more extremist and radicalized, launch more attacks against the justice system and the United States.

The damage these Republicans have done and continue to do to
our nation is immeasurable.

@HopeVanDyne @Heimdall - At some point we have to recognize that Trump’s most rabid supporters will remain a danger to the state forever. Those who still pay lip service to him out of cowardice will never grow spines as long as he’s alive. And even then they will remain unfit for human society.

@Heimdall

To see what Trump supporters are going through and where they might go from here, perhaps it would be good to review the journalistic aftermath of any significant cult collapse after their group doomsday came and went.
