I'm supposed to be working on Profane chapter 6 but instead i'm staring at a blinking cursor, completely frozen.

Writing is
HARD
@bloodwrites I haven't written anything for a week - and I feel like a failure. :(
I have to WIPs on AO3 I should be updating.
@BaconAndPie I often don't write anything for weeks at a time, that's why it took me 6 months to write this damn fic in the first place 😬
@bloodwrites yeah - I shouldn't post before I have at least 90% of a fic written.
The fact that ppl are waiting for the next chapter stresses me out - and my writing suffers.
bah
Live and learn I guess.
@BaconAndPie that's what I've learned too

And this isn't the first time I've been stalled by a previously written final chapter that I hate by the time I come to post it

@bloodwrites I did worse than that this time.
I had an idea a while back - two scenes that just wouldn't leave me . So I wrote about 14k works over the weekend - the beginning and then a time leap. It wanted to be a tragedy.
But I can't leave it a tragedy - I must have a happy ending. So I wrote more in between and now I struggle with the happy ending , how to get them there (it's almost 44k posted by now) . It has to feel natural , but it's not simple, so I struggle.
Booooo.
To make it worse, my brain comes up with all kinds of other ideas for other fics in the meantime - I posted a 4.5 k oneshot , a 45k fic, and started another WIP from a prompt all while I was supposed to write on that original WIP

@BaconAndPie oh. Oh yes. I know this struggle all too well 😭
