We can see this in bs policies that only strenghtened the #GAFAMs and destroyed regional and domestic competition.
For example @EU_Commission regulations re: #VAT taxation basically killed #AndroidPit as #Android #AppStore with more favourable terms than #GooglePlay:

Pyperkub@pluralistic TBH, a LOT of those bad policies, it's that lawmakers are CLUELESS, and only listened to special interests/lobbyists (e.g. Senator Feinstein constantly pushing for incredibly stupid and crippling mandatory encryption backdoors for law enforcement, which will inevitably get hacked, and harm the US economy.
