Nat TorkingtonSo bloody weird to be the only masked person in this airport. Even the queues for the various Asian airlines were bare-faced, and I swear masks used to be really common in a bunch of those culture. Have we gone *backwards*?
Nat@gnat it’s bizarre eh. My partner was only person masked on a recent US flight and it was full of gross coughing. But he came home without getting sick, so that’s something.
Katie Mack@gnat I’m in London at the moment, the only one masking on the Underground. And the air down there is legitimately terrible, even discounting covid entirely! People are just breathing soot for fun!

My wife Abby and I are frequently the only ones masking when we go out somewhere - even here in Hawai'i which was originally very receptive to masking.
At least most of the healthcare providers here still require masks for both staff and patients.
David Wheeler@gnat Family just finished a 2 week run through the UK; we were the only people msked almost everywhere. You should have seen that looks from people when we insisted on eating outside in the Edinburgh rainy weather.
