I could use some help. What is this thingamajig called? We lost one when this spring's floods tore out some fence. The fence is fixed now, except we need one of these for the fishermen's gate. I've been searching online but no luck yet. Surely someone from this knowledgeable group can help? It's abt 2 1/2 inches long.

@EWinterNM You can get inexpensive carabiners at the DIY store; real mountaineer carabiners at sports stores are costly as they used to protect life.
