🚀 Why does Coinbase had no choice but to build #Base? Here's why:

1/ Blockchain engineers wants to build onchain.
I spent 10 months at Coinbase and was a part of the team that made it possible for people to “bridge” your hard-earned dollars to the tokens of your liking.

2/ Teams at Coinbase are mostly building in golang/ruby instead of Solidity. To retain those talents, Coinbase must give them the opportunity to build things onchain đź’Ž #CryptoInnovation

3/ With Base, Coinbase wants to be “the Dubai” of crypto! 🏝️ You don’t think twice to transit over Dubai. It’s an exotic place, but with safety guaranteed. Think App Store or Disney Epcot. CB has the opportunity to make crypto a positive productive and scam-freeplace #1000x

4/ But, if Coinbase love #Base, it will have to let it go 🕊️. A publicly traded company is probably not the most conducive structure to support a decentralized permissionless network.
