Karri Huhtanen@cybette We Finns seem to have pretty dark folk poetry as well. Kullervo talking to his sword reminds me of all those characters in movies and tv series talking to their guns. Got an instant flashback of the Taxi Driver scene, even though in that one the discussion was between the character and mirror image.
@khuhtanen is it usually more of a self reflection type of thing, or a despair / end of the road sentiment?
@cybette I don't know Kullervo's story well enough to know if the sword answered to him. I think the big difference is between talking to or talking with weapon.
