🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 Hello Canadians looking for Canadian news (especially if you’ve been dependent on Facebook or Instagram links).

CBC has created an index of Canadian news media which is searchable by location. It brings up an interesting pot-pourri of digital, tv and radio sources although you can search for just one. There’s a French version as well.

I’ve already discovered some new (to me) small newspapers from nearby regions 😃

@evelyntheriault You may also want to refer to this post. It includes a link to a list of email addresses for all MPs and two email templates you can use as the basis for your own email to your MP. A link to the CBC contact form is also included if you wish to email the President and CEO of #CBC.

@evelyntheriault I am still hoping for a CBC social media “Breaking News” feed that doesn’t include hockey trades, golf, minutia of Ontario municipal politics or celebrity gossip. 😂

It doesn't seem to list independent media. Eg here in the Maritimes it does not list the NB Media Coop or the Halifax Examiner. Are The Tyee and the Narwal listed?
