My brain: if you run electricity into a generator you get a motor, if you run electricity through a water turbine you get a waterpump, electricity through a windmill produces a fan, but electricity through a solar panel doesn't produce sunlight.

@RaeGun I teach my grade 9 kids this - there're three ways to make electricity: by spinning something, by a chemical reaction, or by a solar panel. Everything that isn't a solar panel or a battery is spinning something. (And anything that's spinning can be spun in reverse)
