Went on a gorgeous urban bike ride tonight. 16k of relaxing cruising. I’m not always a fan of this silly city of mine but some times I really am.

@jaymerryfield YES!! I love just getting on my bike and exploring our city!
@KathyReid these long summer nights are such a blessing sometimes.
@jaymerryfield
The more time that you can spend in the #RiverValley, the easier it is to be a fan!
@EllenInEdmonton truly! It’s such a place to spend a few hours.
@jaymerryfield where did you cruise?

@ECityMom I’m easily lame enough to have GPSed my ride. 🤣

@ECityMom the little dipsy-do in West Jasper Place was a pit-stop at my favorite comic shop (shout-out to Variant Edition!) to pick up my pulls and a new hardcover!
@jaymerryfield but why did you take 107 Ave and 104 Ave instead of the residential and MUP bike routes?
@ECityMombecause I was not especially paying attention to where I was going or what my other options were? 🤣 I was truly just on autopilot for parts of the ride and maybe my brain defaults to driving mode?

@jaymerryfield The bike looks like it came from the same factory as Brilliant Coopers and L-Trains (but I see some differences.)

In any case, you probably want to level your rack.

@keraba I’m thorough unsure where it was manufactured, but it’s a Globe bike, a sub-brand of Specialized that’s since been discontinued.

And I am limited by the specific geometry of the rack and mounting points on the bike - it will not get more level than this. I’ve tried. 🤣

@jaymerryfield ah, Globe, yes, I've seen a few in the classifieds. I was looking for a Nexus 8.

Regarding the rack, won't the little curvy things loosen *underneath* the rack? Mine has some Allen bolts hiding there.

@keraba there are two adjustment points on this rack, one for height (down where it connects by the rear axle) and one for the piece that connects the rack to the frame just above the rear brakes. I’ve tinkered with both adjustment points and this is the closest to level that I can get.
