I was today years old when I noticed that if you highlight text in a received email, and then reply to it, @thunderbird inserts what you highlighted as quoted text. Neat!

That's either a feature that was just added, or was put in in 1997. No in between.

@killyourfm @thunderbird back in the day, this was the only way to include quoted text in AOL mail. The default was to include nothing! Nothing quite like empty replies when doing tech support.
