KateI do love #Scouts though, we've been spending a lot of time outside with #campfires lately - singing songs with our Cubs, practising building fires with the older youth members as well as practising our hike cooking!
Zorro@k8kat I've got to bring back campfire songs to my Cub pack. I'm good with stories - shaggy or meaningful and great with jokes but songs just seem to get left behind...
@zorrobandito Oh you should!! Our Cubs and Joeys love the repeat after me ones the best, even better if there are actions. Other ones they are expected to join in, tend to go over their heads a bit or they just don't understand the history behind them.
We have an annual district Campfire for our Cubs, and our Region puts on a great one for the Joeys every year too. We just had our Cub one 2 weeks ago, and are going to do one with our Group as there was interest from our Scouts.
