Ah, the ocean!

One of the world's rarest species of whale showed up in the harbour today -- a Southern Right Whale (Maybe it's the same one from 2018, maybe this one just heard the songs about it.)

It's mating season, but then, when isn't it, or is that just me? I haven't had a lot of good things to say about Wellietonne of late, but when good things happen, I'm here to say it!

The good thing: upon seeing the whale in the harbour, they cancelled the Matariki fireworks. Well done Welly!
