i saw a bunch of people disappointed that charlotte kool didn't really feature today. belatedly and courtesy of #lanterneRouge, here's a nice graphical representation of how thoroughly dsm had cooked themselves by 750m.

@ellotheth SD Worx made them do most of the work to pull the breakaway back, don't think the catch would have been made if Pfeiffer hadn't got on the front in the final 2km.

Also think Kool got herself blocked against the barriers in the end.

@Ravenblade86 @ellotheth they need to get in the breakaway, or give up a stage and just not pull to reel it in someday… second one’s a bit anti-ciclismo but they’re gassed by the flamme rouge

@benfinch @ellotheth problem is if you get a strong rider in the break SD Worx likely also have one as well, or if they have a rider out front they normally have someone in the chase who scares the other riders so much that they don't work.

Just refusing to do the work and risk losing a stage might be the answer to making them work but they win so much anyway they probably don't care if they miss out on a win or two 😂
