So the reason i made this poll was that the three young men i chilled w at above and beyond were all awkward the day after i went to the show with them in the dress, and i think they thought i was gonna hit on them. So i told them i was a lesbian and we could scope out girls together and they were cool the rest of the time.

But then i started wondering how many transwomen are even attracted to men? I didnt know any. Turns out theyre rarer than i thought

Wow!!! Nearly 2000 respondents, of which nearly 800 are (non-ace) transgirls. Of these transgirls only 59 (7.5%) report being excusively attracted to men, and the remaining 730 transgirls report being bi (46%) or lesbian (46%).

Thats certainly a wildly different proportion than i expected, but it has a clear causative factor (men are stinky and boring)

@scattapilla honestly, a lot of the trans women I know identify as lesbian. I think it’s down to genes, as usual. What determines your equipment is almost totally independent of the parts that determine your preference.
@scattapilla also, yes, as a cis man, I must admit to smelling a bit.
@scattapilla I never understood, how anyone could be interested in sex with a man.
Though - since to a casual observer I look like a man, I'm kind of glad, that some people seem to be attracted anyway...
@till i also look like a man! It flies over straight peoples heads but trans and lesbians notice that im not a man
@scattapilla All of the above and then some?
@scattapilla
Bi, but not cis men generally. I'm t4t at the moment anyway, but in all directions.
@GLaDTheresCake currently working on a theory that t4t is a subset of lesbianism
@scattapilla
I don't think I nor my boyfriend would be comfortable with that label, but I'd be interested to see that when you have something to show.
@GLaDTheresCake the idea is that part of being a cis man is being blissfully unaware of the struggles of being a woman. So even being exposed for a few years of being the lower rung on the patriarchy is enough to change most trans peoples perspective on relationships to something closer to lesbianism no matter what gender you end up at in the end
@scattapilla All those concepts are inherently tied to the binary of "man" and "woman". They vanish into thin air as soon as nonbinary people show up
@piegames currently working on a theory that t4t is a subset of lesbianism

@scattapilla I mean, feel free to expand the definition of those labels until they become mostly useless, I'm gonna take the shortcut and simply get rid of them directly.

My sexual orientation does not need to be described in words or put into a box.

@scattapilla ah yes, the only 3 options
@scattapilla I'm asexual and demiromantic.
@scattapilla
Pan, but yeah. Voted bi.
(A nonzero reason for this is I like the pan flag better.)
@scattapilla I'm bi but really I'm gay both ways
@scattapilla I'm pansexual, but attracted more to feminine individuals, what should I choose
@scattapilla Interesting poll, I had the impression that many trans women were lesbian or bi. And very few straight. And it seems it was true...
