Vashti (a mouse)I would like to draw all of your attention to the fact that Akechi is DEAD in this sequence:
* his arms are spread in a crucifixion pose (sacrifice, yo);
* his eyes are closed;
* his expression never changes;
* in fact, he never moves at all.
A few people in the other place have suggested that Akechi smiles in the closeup in the P5R opening, so I had a look and I'm afraid he doesn't. *Ren* is smiling.
The wide shot is more playdoughey but I think clearly the same expression.
A similar rumour is that Ren smiles in one version of the true ending but not the other, depending on whether Akechi appears. I took a look at that one, too, and I was never able to find it.
