Running a microwave off of the camper van's inverter is a surprisingly efficient way to heat up food - a three minute run uses only 65Wh, or 2% of the battery. The solar panels can top that off in 10 minutes if the sun's out.

Now, do I take it on the big road trip next week? That's the question.

@slott56 It's 30-60W depending on how the compressor is feeling. Add in the router and other baseload and it can get to 90W baseload at peak.

@andrew Are you saying if you had 3x as many solar panels you could run a microwave non-stop?
