#QRP doubters? Here's what 5 watts into my #Youkits #HB1B #qrpradio using a #DIY 40-15 #LinkedDipole up 30 feet gave me during a #POTA #parksontheair yesterday morning. 20 on 20m, 2 on 30m & one 17m Sweden. #cwoperator #MorseCode #AmateurRadio #hamradio #cwmorse #SP4

@N4JAW

Jim I regularly do similar on a single watt. You'd be amazed how little difference those four watts make, and how much more efficient 1w is.

Right now, I'm doing it with a Xiegu X6100, which has been running my JS8Call station 24x7 for almost a month.

@KI5SMN Not surprised at all. Last month I left the dc cable to my TalentCell battery at home but had my 9V 200mw battery I carry as a backup. The map shows the results of a POTA activation
@N4JAW Jim, how do you like the #SP4? I got one, and I like how it feels and how small it is, but I do occasionally trigger the โ€˜wrongโ€™ paddle if I tap the other one a bit too strong. Now, Iโ€™m brand new at CW (2 POTA activations) so donโ€™t know what to expect with these small paddles ๐Ÿ˜€
@n2epe I love my #SP4. I call it my Passionate Paddle. It is so SENSTITVE. A fly landed on the Dit side the other day & the paddle starting sending Dits. ๐Ÿ˜… I still haven't gotten mine adjusted the way I want it to keep from sending those unwanted characters
@N4JAW ๐Ÿ˜‚. Iโ€™ve rejected the initial names that came to me, but I love it too. Just had a fantastic morning when it helped me get several contacts from K-2012, looking out over Lake Ontario.
@N4JAW this is making me want to learn CW
