Corsair acquires mechanical keyboard specialist Drop

Corsair is acquiring “certain assets” from Drop, an online retailer best known for its lineup of mechanical keyboards and keyboard accessories like keycaps.

@EposVox It's not too much of a stretch. Bring in some of Drop's experience and improve the main Corsair line of keyboards. Good for Corsair, not sure how this'll go for Drop.
@userjack6880 IDK, to me Drop is about a lot of stuff other than Keyboards.
@EposVox I think Corsair also wants to chase the audio gear stuff too, though. Given that some of Corsair’s audio gear is lackluster, that’s another thing they can fold into the brand.

I am a bit concerned that this means the end of the completely random stuff Drop puts out though - they’ve already lost the “sign up and if enough people want it we’ll make it” feel (the Mass part of the old MassDrop brand), I feel like this goes another step into just being a brand of things rather than a community thing.
@EposVox I doubt it'll happen but it'd be cool if Drop started having their other product lines again. I got a comb and a pair of aviators from there and like both, and they weren't super expensive.
