A scholar wants to investigate a maze like structure in the Lone Towers region. Elder Era scripts hint at the purpose of this structure, but translators weren't sure if it was a warning, an invitation, a safe place or a trap.
"Well, I guess we are going to find out. No? Hehehe..."
Note: I messed the colors on the first location, following ones will be done only in black and white, Electrum Archive style.

I've always has been fascinated by Rome's Bocca della Verità, the idea of a big ass face with an ominous mouth you have to insert your hand has always been scary to me. The thrill of not knowing what will be inside that dark hole.
Anyway, Gygax did the worst "Bocca della Verità" version on the Tomb of Horrors module. Don't be like Gygax. Don't be an asshole.

Does the maze have any meaning? Maybe. Does the maze have a reason to exist? Yes, being a maze.
Let your players make sense of it, don't explain too much. Think of Tsutomu Nihei's Blame. That should be enough.
