@fediforum I’m guessing the migration from Reddit to #Lemmy and #Kbin accounted for a lot of this.

A lot, yes, but not even the majority.

Over 50%, I think, is masto. Partly some bleed over from the lemmy/kbin reddit migration, but mostly a new twitter migration wave after Musk's latest shenanigans.

Most of it went to mastodon.social, unfortunately. I can tell you from memory that their monthly active user count went up ~80% by about 200,000. Many of that being returning users that had drifted back to twitter.
