fuzzface@oclsc MTA reports that their tracks from NYC to Poughkeepsie will be near normal tomorrow. Not sure about Amtrak, primary discussion today has been the derailment in DC. That should have zero impact on trains originating/terminating in DC. The derailment occurred in the tunnel that connects Union Station to the Long Bridge over the Potomac and points south on CSX or NS owned tracks.
Joseph Andriano@oclsc I think at this point flying would be your best option. That or driving, so long as you stay on the interstate you should be ok. I haven’t seen anything specifically about damage to the rails Amtrak uses, but I imagine they didn’t get though this unscathed.
