@deviantollam I wrote a lengthy letter to Sen Blumenthal about his pushing for laws like that and got the most canned response, offering to answer my questions; especially regarding the formation of a panel under EARN-IT. Unsurprisingly, all of those questions and the letter as a whole went unanswered.

All they see is lobby money'$ and they'll do what their campaign financers demand under threat of pulling funding for their reelection.
