This week's #FairyTaleTuesday theme is Christmas in July, so here's a little trivia about the jolly old elf himself! The concept of Santa Claus living at the North Pole was an invention of American cartoonist Thomas Nast, whose Christmas illustrations for Harper's Weekly magazine depicted Santa using the pole as a lookout post from which could monitor the children of the world to see if they were being bad or good.
